So Coco - you're going to need a pairs of these....

With two films about Coco Chanel coming out very shortly and Chanel style jackets everywhere (including fab modern takes in Zara), you'll almost certainly want a pair of quilted leather pumps. One of the best place to find a great pair is Pretty Ballerinas, where they offer nothing but ballerina flats and (kind of) loafers, and a range of styles that's totally hard to beat including animal prints with coloured ties, stripes, florals, metallics and just about every other finish you can think of.

Yesterday in the Daily Mail

I thought that this one had been laid to rest but I've been told that there are loads of festivals in August (I suppose it's not surprising, it should be the dryest month). So yesterday in the Daily Mail appeared Festival Fashion Click and Shop with everything to be prepared for sun or rain in a hopefully not so muddy field, from flowered wellies to the latest Ray-Bans to waterproofs and your tent.

All the features at the Daily Mail

Beauty Treats - two to take away

Shopping in London yesterday and guess what - despite the fact that I'll be in the shopping heaven that is the US next week just couldn't resist snapping these up on my way out of Debenhams (where I'd gone for a meeting but ho hum........ you can't take the shopping out of the Shopaholic, now can you?).

Chanel's new rich and shimmering nail colour Cosmic Violine which trust me is the most gorgeous shade if you like slightly glittery dark plummy/brown colours (and which will go perfectly with that tan I'm going to be getting 'stateside next week) and

Lancome's new Oscillation mascara - Lancome unquestionably make some of the best mascaras out there, if not the best and you're never taking a risk when you buy them.

Love them both, wearing them now and getting ready to put them in my bag!

Best for modern beauty

In case you already haven't visited it, this is one of the very best beauty websites online. Forget the name, HQHair is not just about hair products, although there are loads of them here, but about make up, skincare, fragrance and fab beauty accessories you'll wonder how you ever lived without by brands such as Nars, Rodial, Stila, Fusion Beauty, Frederic Fekkai, Benefit and far too many to tell you about here.

Click through and have a browse - you're bound to become addicted, it's in my top 100 all time greats.

Treats for the home

I'm definitely not buying a new sofa this year, or anything else large and expensive for my home (or large and inexpensive for that matter) after all, even in these cash-strapped times we mustn't let our standards slip, now must we? I am enjoying, however, picking up small and beautiful bits and pieces, a new decorative vase here, home fragrance there and love Graham & Green's take on all that is pretty for the home. There are some great gift ideas here as well for wedding gifts in particular so take your pick now.

Uplift me now.........

I'm not a lover of 'clever clever' websites, nor browsing sites where I'd have a hard time justifying even the purchase of a key-ring, pretty though it may be. However, on a bad day I'd advise anyone to have a look at Hermes' truly adorable site for colour and instant inspiration. It's clever, pretty, browseworthy and full of accessories that won't make your heart race for their 'now-ness' but gorgeous at any rate.

This one's hard to find - Hanro of Switzerland

Those of you already addicted to Hanro underwear but frustrated because it's so hard to find the complete range can now breath a huge sigh of relief because it's all here at Swiss Lingerie. Having been asked to buy some for a relation in the US I've done the research and am now waiting for my order to arrive - swiftly I hope. I'll report back if not, you can be sure.

With the fab quality of Hanro (although it is expensive) and the excellent service they promise here this should be a real treat for classic, premium quality, lingerie lovers.

Home Fragrance goodies - love them all

Always a lover of fragrantly scented candles I've only just got into the whole diffuser, fragrant home arena and now am becoming rapidly addicted. Favourite brands? Definitely Abode, Voluspa and Elizabeth W but perfectly willing to try them all. Home now smells a bit like a boudoir which is quite an achievement in a 16th century farmhouse with two dogs! Anyway, I love it so they'll just have to try and live with it for the moment! Suspect the dogs will win in the end.

For those who don't have the competition pay a visit to Amara and look at their range of hard to find home fragrances - mmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Dolce and Gabbana now online

This is a sad day girls, when buying designer fashion online has just become totally impossible to resist - well, for fans of divine design duo Dolce and Gabbana. With their trademark glam clothing, handbags, shoes, jewels, shades and more just a couple of clicks away and prices certainly at the high end but not ridiculous (well in this day of the £1000+ handbag) you may well want to buy here. I say, 'go for it' you won't regret investing in their fabulously sophisticated bow detail court, zip detail shoulder tote and trademark animal print ruffle detail skirt. All to buy and keep for ever.

Oh yes and did I mention the lace? Lace is everywhere, from the oversized bow trim to a clutch to a delicate tracing on an evening shoe and empahsising the shape of a bustier dress - now doesn't that tell you something about what to buy now to wear right through fall and beyond? I guess it does.

Sunglasses - have you bought yours yet this summer?

If you haven't yet treated yourself to a pair of new designer sunglasses this year then don't wait any longer, the temperature's going up (shortly, we hope), we're all off somewhere where we hope we'll need the shade and the selection of sunglasses is mind-blowing, from top designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Prada, Gucci and Ralph Lauren to mid priced collections from Fabris Lane and Karen Millen and on to cleverly styled (!) much, much cheaper selections by M:UK and Oasis. Don't hang about, summer's here and now's definitely the time with some great prices out there.

I fell in love with these - sadly I've already bought my new ones this year but I'm keeping an eye on the price:

How brave are you feeling?

Actually this ought to read how rich are you feeling, because these beauties will certainly set you back a bit (a lot). However, if you have just won the lottery or inherited someone's fortune then you may well be tempted. I would, apart from the fact that at 5'2" I would look totally ridiculous. Also I've never bought anything described as 'Mouse patent leather'.....They are totally wonderful though girls, I'm sure you'll agree.

Get ready to purr....

It's a safe bet that you should be dusting off anything in your wardrobe with leopard, zebra or tiger print. From totes to clutches and belts to sandals, pumps and boots plus dresses, knits and (probably) leggings this is going to be a fave trend this autumn so better get ready. Spotted at Matches, this Diane von Furstenberg wrap. Why is it the minute the new stock comes in anything last season looks so, well, last season?

Best Product for Frizzy Hair by One Who Knows

Up in the highlands and walking on the moors - fab until you get back to base and everyone looks at you as if you've turned into an alien. One look in the mirror and immediately understand why - not the face, not the clothes, it's the hair, gone, totally. Immediately out with tried and tested rescue product, Paul Mitchell's The Shine. The day they discontinue it will be the day I stop going for walks. For now it works, wonders. Just spray, straighten hair with dryer and you're done. Never travel without it girls.

Not a steal at any price...

There's something about the sales that makes you (or me) forget that that bag or dress I've just fallen in love with was at a ridiculous price to start with, and although it may be half price it's still far more than I should be spending.

Well I haven't bought this, and it was faintmakingly pricey at the get-go, but I have fallen in love with it so I'll keep my eye on it and then probably cry when someone less cautious than I snaps it up. Liberty always has special, glamorous and stylish pieces you can't find anywhere else.
