If you think of a face mask as an unnecessary addition to your beauty routine – after all, you’re already exfoliating, using serum, moisturising, night creaming etc etc etc well it’s time to think again. Face masks are this season’s big hit in skincare ranges, they’re better than ever, and once you’ve started using a face mask you’ll become addicted.
There are two kinds of face mask. The kind that comes in a little packet, that you apply to your face and then throw out, and the kind that you layer onto clean skin, leave (and relax for however many minutes you’re instructed to), and then remove.
I confess I’ve never been very good at using the packet masks, although I have many friends who love them for their instant results, and I’m extremely tempted always by anything that offers an immediate solution, such as Starskin 7 Second Mask – which is excellent by the way - and Caudalie’s Instant Detox Mask.
What I would say is that it’s seriously beneficial to add a mask into your routine a couple of times a week. You’ll notice a difference extremely fast, and who doesn’t want tightened, brightened wide-awake skin, particularly at this time of year…….
