Jewellery is the most popular gift for Valentine’s Day, and we’re not just talking about that diamond solitaire ring from Tiffany, and whether it’s a gold bracelet with a heart charm, a pair of diamond earrings or a gemstone pendant you can spend anything from the reasonable to the totally outrageous.
Here are 25 ideas for Valentine’s Day jewellery, some of which is not so bank breaking and some expensive. And you could always treat yourself……
My first 10 are from Net-a-Porter, where you’ll not only get beautiful packaging but also a choice of designers from modern British and International reasonably priced designers such as Chan Luu and Monica Vinader to gorgeous, expensive and modern/classic brands such as Piaget and Chopard. Not only that but there’s a much wider range of prices than you probably expect.
My second selection comes from Notonthehighstreet.com – where you’ll find pieces that are not so easy to buy elsewhere and little known but brilliant designers. There are some really lovely items here – I’ve featured mostly pearl and semi-precious stones but you’ll find a huge choice and very reasonable prices.
Make sure if you’re ordering from Notonthehighstreet.com that you check the delivery dates as some pieces are made specially. To be safe choose express delivery and ensure that the site states the date it will arrive. Two of my favourite designers here are Sarah Hickey and Mounir London.
Jewellery featuring hearts is easy to come by, of course, but much of it isn’t that special, here are five pieces of modern heart jewellery - bracelet, earrings and pendant. If I had to choose? The Chopard Happy Heart earrings, are timeless, beautiful and will last for ever. Say no more…..
