5 Reasons Why you Need a New Pair of Trainers–and 20 Pairs of Trainers on Sale

If you really need an excuse to buy a new pair of trainers, here are five reasons you can give yourself (or someone else) and then go and find a new pair of your favourite trainers.  But don’t wait, one of the reasons is that there’s never a better time of year price-wise.

1.  They’re on sale right now.
Of course they are.  Here are just some of the examples of trainers on sale which you really won’t want to miss, whether your favourite brand is Nike, Adidas or New Balance.  They’re all reduced, some available in more sizes than others.  Go for the best you can afford, if you buy cheap trainers for the sake of it you probably won't get what you need, so choose an expensive pair then look for a discount.  Most of these are around half price.

2.  Because all trainers wear out eventually
Whether you wear them for the gym or for running, your trainers and running shoes won’t last for ever.  Check the soles for wear and buy a new pair in good time, because not doing so can lead to injury.

3.  Because you need different trainers for different activities.
Buying a pair of cross trainers simply because you think they cover everything fitness-wise doesn’t work, unless you’re just spending basic time at the gym.  They won’t help you if you play tennis or go out running distance.  Make sure you have the right trainers for how you intend to use them.

4.  Because you bought your last pair of trainers because of how they looked, and they hurt your feet.
Trainers and sneakers are as we all know, the fashion footwear for now.  Phew….sigh of relief.  When you tried them on all you though about was how you looked in them.  But actually your feet are sore when you wear them, they’re too narrow, or too short.  We’ve all done it, but bin them and go for a style and brand that you know suits your feet and the way you walk/run etc.

There are two styles of trainer, both by Nike (Nike Pegasus and Nike Vomero) that I know I can safely buy anywhere and in any colour.  They have the cushioning and support I need.  And I know my size. So I stick to them.  Once you find your perfect trainer don’t drift unless you really need to.

5. Because everyone needs more than one pair
One pair for your gym bag - one pair at home so you can walk or run in them at a moments notice – and one pair of your perfect trainers in a colour you love.  Because orange is so the new black this month………….
