According to colour psychology, red is the colour of energy, confidence, passion and drive. If you’re one of those people who surrounds them selves with black and/or neutral accessories try having another think.
As someone who has allowed red to filter into the day-to-day recently I’ve noticed the difference it makes. You may not want to go the whole way and dress from head to toe in red and neither do I. But a little bit of red can go a long way to brighten up your day, no matter what the weather’s doing outside.
It doesn’t matter which accessory you choose to be red. I currently have a brilliant red iPad cover, red Contigo travel mug (which I am never to be found without and my red Logitech laptop mouse, sitting beside me right now. Plus red framed sunglasses for when it starts to shine.
As someone who doesn’t like red lipstick and isn’t to be found often wearing colour – I love neutrals – I’ve noticed how my bright accessories do affect my mood. So even if it’s the smallest thing add a bit of red to your accessory collection, take it with you everywhere, and see if you feel the same.
