If you’ve held back on buying a pair of Over the Knee Boots for any one of several reasons you need to think again. Sitting here writing this in my (last year’s, sorry) Steve Madden Orabela black suede over the knee boots and planning to wear them for work, for lunch and possibly for dinner I’ve become a total convert.
As Shane Watson wrote in her article ‘let’s hear it for the over the knee boot’, ‘OTK boots have tipped over into normal territory’. And yet they’re anything but your normal pair of boots. They’re sexy, modern and flattering whatever heel height you choose. Wonderfully comfortable, provided you’re not tipping around in stilettos, these’ll keep you happy all day.
The best thing about over the knee boots is that they look great with dresses, short skirts and leggings alike. And they feel a whole lot less mundane than your every-day pair of below the knee boots. You can wear these throughout the colder months and on to next autumn.
One word of advice. Unless you’ve been doing a lot of Yoga be careful about buying a pair of these boots without any kind of zip. Trying to pull on, let alone get out of, a pair of extra long boots without any type of zip anywhere can be very frustrating, let alone impossible in a hurry.
