Having arrived here across the pond only quite recently and even though they are a little more expensive here, what girl can resist a dress that flatters everywhere, is created from an uncrushable, high quality fabric and designed with curves in mind? Forget the straight, fitted shift. Forget the cocoon dress trying to hide your shape, this is the dress you want to take with you everywhere and works across the seasons.

One thing I will say, as with any dress that hugs your figure you need to be careful what you wear underneath and showing lines can ruin the best of dresses. And it’s essential to get the most flattering length for you. So don’t just go with the length as it arrives because you can. Keep pins at the ready, put on your heels and get it to where you know it’s right. There are enough people out there ready and willing to get out needle and thread on your behalf.

I’ve worn these dresses to Glyndebourne, weddings, dinners, drinks and in climates both warm and cold. It’s time to start collecting……..
Final note – don’t expect to walk into your local store and find these dresses – You may find a few but not the complete choice which is available online. Also as they’re stretchy you may want to try a size down. At both John Lewis and House of Fraser (who stock the collection) it’s well worth filling in your size specification and letting their software choose the right size for you.
Styling tip. Wear these with nude or gold heels for a leg lengthening effect. The way most of these dresses are styled with black shoes is not the most flattering. Also most of the models have fewer curves than most of us which doesn’t show the dresses to their best advantages. These dresses are designed with curvy girls in mind.
