So having bemoaned the fact that a favourite brand saw fit to discontinue my all time favourite shimmering nude lipstick in the UK, and then the US I found a few new ones, and some of those have now also been discontinued.
What is it with those perfect nudes and the need to discontinue them when for the non red lipstick wearer like me they are flattering and perfect at any time of year and for any occasion?
Finding a perfect nude lipstick isn’t that easy it would appear and I have spent considerable amounts of time in Sephora and various department stores, coming away with nothing. Too pink, too dark, too metallic, too sheer – so many just don’t make the grade. As for seriously matte lipstick, my personal opinion is that unless you’re incredibly careful they can be very aging. As for bright red, or any shade of red for that matter…..let’s just not go there.
This spring I’ve put together a new list, all tried and tested. And yes I now have quite a large collection. But each and every one, depending on if you want a slightly warm shimmer to a sheer glow, fits the bill perfectly.
When you click through you may find the main page colour doesn’t match the one here. Because some stores don’t bother to give you the full image in each colourway. Amazing, and one can only hope that they’ll learn.
