This is a great time of year to invest in a little red dress - if you’re fed up with the dull weather and all of the black out there then take your pick and make a statement in red.
Most collections have one if not more red dresses in them, in varying shades from pinkish red to as bright as can be, it’s up to you how much ‘noise’ you want to make. If you’re happy to be looked at then make this your little red dress year.
The best shapes are those with stretch in them to fit and flatter your curves, or anything in a fit and flare shape which will hug your top then woosh out from the waist, hiding anything you might want to hide (Christmas day lunch perhaps?) on the way.
Red is always going to get you looked at, so make sure your dress is the right length for you, too long and it can look instantly frumpy and bear in mind that lace dresses with scalloped hems can be tricky to alter.
There are some really gorgeous red dresses out there, from superbrand designers to dresses that won’t hurt your bank balance….much. My favourites are always evening friendly, from a little red cocktail dress to s red lace shift dress - there’s everything to choose from
