Most fitness addicts – those who really enjoy exercise – don’t necessarily have the means to spend a lot on the latest fitness tech or clothing. So to be given something they’ll want to use by a brand they like that they might not buy for themselves is extra special.

By the way don’t think that buying an activity tracker for someone who’s a bit of a couch potato or that super expensive pair of trainers will do the trick motivation wise – it won’t. And make sure that whatever you give they don’t already have. An upgrade won’t necessarily be what they want, particularly in the case of the latest wearable tech. If you want to give something like that make sure that it can be exchanged and don’t be offended.

There are some seriously good gifts for those who enjoy fitness from my favourite Fitbit One (because I don’t want to wear an activity tracker strapped to my wrist) to incredibly bright fitness socks, no spill water bottles and super-lightweight gym bags.

Go as colourful as you want, make sure that you get the size right, and don’t huff and puff if you get the wrong thing and it has to be changed. You’ll be on the right track in any case…..
