Out in Dallas right now where every day is a bad hair day (think storms, rain and high humidity) without seriously good products what you wash and condition your hair with is largely irrelevant, however hard you try to keep it in shape, unless you’re lucky enough to have totally frizz-resistant hair…..your style can be gone in a flash.
Having in the past used luxury brand Fekkai hair products I decided to give them a go again having unexpectedly spotted them in Target.
Frederic Fekkai the brand was sold to Proctor & Gamble in 2008, has been re-branded as two collections, one for the mass market and the other for a more upscale clientele but then sensibly brought back into one collection for all. So now you can find them at Fekkai salons and major department stores in the US and mass market stores as well.
The prices out here in the US are, of course, less than in the UK but if you’ve used them at all you’ll be happy to know you can buy them at Amazon on speedy delivery from within the UK, this being the only place so far I’ve found them on the other side of the pond.
My favourite Fekkai products are his Brilliant Glossing Creme which contains olive oil and is certainly doing a good job of trying to contain humidity induced frizz, Technician Colour Care Shampoo, and Technician Colour Luxe Masque.
There’s a new range of apres soleil hair care products which has just launched here, and collections for repairing very dry and damaged hair as well as normal hair. There are excellent travel sets as well. There are various sellers on Amazon but most of the range is also available using Amazon’s Prime or next day delivery service which means you can have it tomorrow…..and yes I will be bringing some back with me.
