Restaurant Reviews - The Marlow Bar and Grill

 Marlow Bar and Grill

The Marlow Bar and Grill is a busy modern restaurant down near Marlow Bridge on Marlow High Street.  It's become my go-to place for lunch in the vicinity mainly because the food is hard to beat, you can sit with friends in a booth and feast on pulled pork, Malay style chicken, fishcakes, steak and chips or anything else of the extensive menu that takes your fancy.

The other thing I really like about the Marlow Bar and Grill is that the chef doesn't mind if you pull a wobbly about the sweet potato under the Malay chicken (off the £10 set lunch menu, no less) and is happy to exchange it for perfectly cooked tender-stem broccoli and cabbage leaves.
The main menu is extensive, and as you'd expect features grilled beef and barbeque in abundance, but everything I've had here has been really good and well presented.  Note that I've only been at lunch time, I gather it's heaving in the evenings so make sure you book if you want to go there.

From charred flat bread and hummus, to grilled lobster, pulled pork - which I haven't tried yet but I may need to test it - and crispy duck salad to a fillet steak sandwich, if you're anywhere near Marlow I suggest you try the Marlow Bar and Grill - I've been there several times and will definitely be going back.
