Six Places for The Best White Tshirts Online UK & US

There’s nothing better or more essential to every girl’s spring/summer wardrobe than a few, or preferably a stack, of perfect white tshirts.

As a collector - after all who can have too many - I’ve tried and tested many brands.  I’m always looking for the same things - a flattering v or scoop neckline, fabric, usually a cotton blend, that will not lose it’s shape, the right length of short or cap sleeve, a tshirt that isn’t too long (nor bares anything I don’t want to bare) and one that washes and dries perfectly.  It’s all very well buying tshirts that can be washed and hung to dry or dried flat at home, here in the US just about everything is machine dried, so you need to allow for those possibilities if you’re a traveller.

I’m not of a mind to spend the fortune that you can on designer brand t-shirts - spend a small fortune and you’re bound to send your blueberry smoothie down your front when wearing it….and just try getting that out!

 
In the UK there are four places online I would look first for a crisp white tshirt - French Connection, Uniqlo, Net-a-Porter (for J Crew) and White Stuff.  Some of these will set you back a little more than others, but none unreasonably so, and the choice is varied and the quality high.


In the US I would go straight to Ann Taylor and Loft, who always have very good shapes and high quality fabrics.  And they also ship to the UK (and elsewhere).  Sign up for their newsletters and then pounce when they have one of their 40% off offers, which seems to happen quite regularly.  And all of the styles come in lots of different colourways.

The white tshirt is a wardrobe staple - something you don’t want to have to really think about in the ‘what shall I slip into today’ stakes.  A neat pile waiting happily in the wardrobe will go a long way to making the most of the warmer weather round the corner.
