Uniqlo Heattech and Ultra Light Down - Soft and Skinny Layers to Beat the Freeze

As a long time fan and wearer of Uniqlo Heattech I know that these fine skinny thermal layers which don’t get in the way of what you’re wearing on top, wash perfectly, look good on their own and come in a multitude of colours are simply a must as the colder weather sets in.  You need to order these early as the most popular colours can run out online.  The prices are excellent as well.

My favourite styles are the long sleeved scoop neck, polo neck top, short sleeved scoop neck and fine plain leggings and I’ve amassed a collection in quite a few colours of each, trying to steer away from black (and failing of course).  I have to say I don’t go for the patterns.  You may.  The beauty of these are that with the tops particularly you can layer them as the weather gets colder and no one will be any the wiser.

Uniqlo also offers Ultra Light Down, less cumbersome than many down coats and jackets (and less expensive).  These are not your heavy down all weather coats, so don’t try going out in a snow storm in them, however for a chilly day when you want a warm and soft (and chic) top layer they’re ideal.  Favourites are the ultra light down hooded coat, the stand collar down jacket and sleeveless down vest.  There are other designs as well so have a look, these are well priced as well.

Uniqlo specialises in high volume reasonably priced basics and essentials.  They’re hard to beat as a range, offering unique colourways, collaborations with the likes of Jil Sander (past), Ines de la Fressange and others and always modern minimalist shapes whether it’s for their well priced cashmere collection or outerwear.  And let’s not forget their Heattech socks - collectible in their own right.  Scroll down below the leggings on the page to find them and order yours soon - those always sell out.
