I have never really been a Laura Mercier fan, nor tried her products, however having spotted her new Spellbound illuminator on the counter last week, and always on the lookout for some extra radiance, I tried it and was immediately hooked. This product adds light and lift to your face where you need it and adds a pretty ‘wide awake’ glow instantly.
In the picture here it looks nothing like as luminescent as it is in real life, and you don’t need a lot of it to make an effect, but it’s well worth investing in as autumn sets in and you want a lift as there’s less sun around.
Then, as I was there, I tried her Caviar Eye Stick Pencil in Plum - a deep rich shade for autumn. You may look at it and say this isn’t for the faint hearted, however you don’t need to use it, as intended, as an eye shadow, but also with an angled eyeliner brush to give a fine line and the colour is deliciously deep.
There’s also her Kohl Eye Pencil in Black Violet, however the Caviar Eye Stick is more versatile and will stay on for longer.
On to Laura Mercier Secret Concealer - I’m a collector of concealers and have tried and tested countless products by superbrands and cheaper brands alike. And I’ve found them all to be ok…..ish. But I’ve never come across one as good as this one. I like the consistency, the hydration, the ease of application and the fact that it really works.
Where others seem to do a half job for half a day this one not only stays on, but makes you look and feel brighter. And you can’t ask for more than that.
These three products by Laura Mercier are well worth investing in right now. The concealer and illuminator will add a bit of extra radiance just when we all need it, and the eye stick is such a luscious colour you’ll find yourself losing the summer blues and going straight for Plum.
