Where to Shop for The Instant Summer Wardrobe in Navy and White

Sometimes it’s easy to put yourself together…..that dress, that scarf, those shoes etc etc and sometimes it’s not.  Black is frequently the simple answer to a bad styling day, but navy and white can work better, particularly when the sun is out.  Here are 20 pieces in navy and white to form the basis of an easy summer wardrobe, and where to shop for them.

As soon as the sun comes out dresses sell out very fast, particularly those that are strappy, flattering and on trend, so if you find something you like snap it up quick, it’s not going to hang around for very long.

Stores have to buy tops and t-shirts in high volumes, so you may be more lucky there, although the best styles and colours again will wizz out of the door as soon as it’s warm.  In many cases if you find something you like online you can have it delivered to your local store, which can work well if you want to try on and return at the same time (if you know what I mean) rather than having to return by post.

Jeans and trousers can be quite hard to buy online particularly if you want mid rise and reasonably easy fit but flattering at the same time.  Phase-Eight has very good jeans and shorts if you don’t want to shell out too much and they’re perfect for a curvy figure.  Likewise-of course, Marks & Spencer for most items.  If you want to buy online make sure you check out the rise is stated to make it more easy to get something that will fit you.

Some of the best places to shop for reasonably priced summer separates are Fat Face and White Stuff plus Phase-Eight (even if you really think of them for dresses, their jeans are really good), and of course Marks and Spencer.  Then once you’ve picked up your basics without breaking the bank you can buy that designer scarf, bag or dress to work in with everything else.  …..
