Leopard Print - Prowl the New Season’s Collections to Wear Right Now

If you’ve been thinking for even a second that it was time to pack up all your leopard print pieces you had better think again, as, not only a perennial that works the year round, leopard print, in more colours and styles than you’ve ever seen before is about to be right there for autumn.

There tend to be those who love animal prints and wear them whether on trend or off, (like me) and those who would really rather not.  I suspect this season may entice the latter group into the fold as there are going to be some great pieces around, frequently different from what you’d expect.

Every store will have some leopard print, unless they weren’t watching the autumn/winter trends unfold months ago, and most will have taken a free reign with colour.  Forget brown, beige and black, and consider, red, pink, coral and pale blue.  The traditional is what most of us will probably wear/carry/step out in, as that’s what most us of us (or speaking for myself) have collected up until now, but the joy of this season is the interesting colour palette that’s appearing and best of all is you can wear most of it right now.

Inevitably Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli have lead the way with some delicious and expensive pieces however there’s a wide choice including Karen Millen, Paul Smith, Reiss and Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Leopard is one of those prints you don’t want to overdo, one piece will say it all every time but it works for everything from smart to weekend.  One leopard print stiletto heel shoe with a slim little black dress, or a gorgeously coloured tote by D&G with a pair of slim jeans is all you need.

So go through your closets and get out the leopard pieces you already own, and then go shopping, this is a trend to wear now and wear later - right on through the season to come.  And thanks very much, because I love it.  And my favourite is the Dolce and Gabbana leopard print tote below…..well it would be, wouldn’t it?
