How to Wear Orange-Summer’s Sexiest Shade

Back in Dallas as I walked to my office this morning the first comment I received was ‘I love your shoes’, something to do with the fact that they’re orange suede sandals , stiletto heeled and have an ankle strap.  I’m also wearing a bright orange linen scarf (and a black and white dress, in case that sounds like overkill).  This is about as bright as I go, and the zing of the colour will allow you to find me anywhere.  How to wear orange made easy......as accessories.

In summer orange has to be the sexiest shade, worn head to toe it would probably be too much unless you’re of a mind to invest in Matthew Williamson’s glorious orange silk chiffon dress above, but a piece here or there will make everyone around you look drab.  Orange works perfectly with black, white or navy, and offers a neon clash with shocking pink.  A hint of a tan, gleaming skin - now’s the time to get polishing if you haven’t already - and toned arms and pins with all those weights you’ve been doing make orange your hot choice for now.  If you can, invest in a neon orange bra as well, no one else will know you’re wearing it, but you will, and it’ll lift you in more ways than one……

Wear your orange one piece at a time for preference, and the brighter the better.  Just be prepared to be looked at.  Gold accessories work as well with orange.  If you’re going to invest in an orange or tangerine bag look at brands such as Michael Michael Kors and DKNY who won’t break the bank but have some of the best styles. How to wear orange is not easily answered unless you have warm toned skin (so it has to be summer) and wear it boldly as it will always speak for itself.
