How to Make your Legs Look Longer - Sparkle Shoes that Go the Distance - Updated

If now’s the time to get out the sparkle party, cocktail or wedding shoes, do you ever look at yourself properly in the mirror, in your favourite Little Black Dress, and really take in what your shoes are doing to you?  Nothing can make a flirty sexy dress look frumpier faster than the wrong shoes.  They can make you look shorter (and therefore wider), draw people’s attention to your feet when what you want is their attention on your face and dress, and be a turn off as well as a turn on.

Shoes are greatly affected by your choice of tights/stockings/hold-ups as well, as tights can look dowdy unless they’re really, really sheer.  Nude stockings never are ‘nude’, and shades of brown and cocoa can bring problems of their own.  And tights of course bring other problems such as lines where you really don’t want them.  Ever.

Much more modern is to go with the cold (no pleasure without pain, obviously) and show a pair of bare gleaming pins to the world.  Preferably not lily-white, but not over fake tanned either.  And definitely moisturised.

Take a look at the glossies and you’ll see that this is the look that most celebs and models are going for, for good reason.   It’s sexy, flattering and works for everyone.

To lengthen your legs and wear a pair of heels that just say ‘ask me to dance’ go for nude or gold, with or without a platform, peeptoe, or sling-back strap, and any addition of sparkle is an added bonus.

Polish up your pins, put on a pair of nude or metallic sparkle shoes and get ready to party.
