The knit dress can be your best friend or your worst enemy. The wrong one will accentuate every lump and bump, and make you look larger than you are. The right one in a clever curve enhancing shape will flatter your figure and keep you warm at the same time.
There are hundreds of the former out there, straight, body hugging shapes frequently in horizontal stripes (and sometimes great colours) that you know you shouldn’t wear but you may well try as the season just calls for a perfect flattering knit dress to keep warm in
for day or night.
I’m not going to go into what you should or shouldn’t wear underneath those, suffice it to say that with these you want to show as few lines as possible, but there are enough solutions out there to make this reasonably easy, and the dress you pick should help you anyway. Just make sure you take a close look from every which way so you know what’s going to be on show.
Best necklines will be scoop, v (as in wrap) or cowl neck, anything that elongates the line. Worn with just a high pair of black boots and you’ll be ready for anything.
