Tom Ford Cosmetics Eye Palette–Beauty Review–Plus a Competition Reminder

Passing the Tom Ford Cosmetics counter whilst at Heathrow Terminal 3 the other day I was tempted by the sleek presentation of  the cosmetics on display, sitting right next door to Bobbi Brown which rarely fails to attract with something new.

Tom Ford Cosmetics are by no means inexpensive, but then you’d hardly expect them to be, so are they better than the rest to deserve the uplifted prices?  Do they stay on longer?  Is the texture better?  Is the packaging totally irresistible.

Deciding that it was my duty to try out at least one item from the range I chose his Eye Colour Quad in Silvered Topaz, which, in their words, offers four luxurious finishes including sheer satin, sparkle, shimmer and matte.  There’s no doubt that these products are all right at the high end price-wise, but they do last and the quality is excellent.  If you tried to find a similar mix of products you’d be hard put to do so in one palette, and if you looked for all four separately you’d probably end up paying more.  Also this set comes with two double ended applicators.

My advice would be to go with one of the palettes that contains neutrals, rather than specific colours which makes them less versatile, although you could put Violet Dusk on your Christmas wish list to go with all the berry shades you’re bound to be wearing.
