The Rise and Rise of the Pretty Dress

I’ve been doing quite a bit of pinning recently (haven’t we all) and one of the things that stands out to me is that whenever I pin something ‘pretty’, ie girly, ladylike, romantic, feminine and potentially glamorous and sexy at the same time, it gets snapped up.

There are thousands of dresses out there.  Some I really wonder about – as in ‘will anyone really buy that shape/colour/style’ and others that have enough about them to make them wearable, versatile and glamorous as well, but there are very few that you would actually call ‘pretty’, that you could be sure, if they fitted properly, would bring a spring to your step and a glow to your cheeks as all the best dresses should.

You could easily say that most will be ‘pretty’ if worn by the right person, in the right way, but the kind of dress I’m talking about has instant ‘pretty on the hanger’ appeal, that makes you want to try it on instantly.  Or at least it does me…….
