Smashbox has had a very rocky ride since trying to launch over here in 1998 due to an episode in its past which I’m not going to delve back into. As to whether the brand, which was then largely ignored by the press, should have suffered quite so much is a question for another day but as a result many do not know very much about it, and there are few places you can find it here, although not for nothing is it the favourite of many a US star and offered in many US department stores.
One product from Smashbox which I wouldn’t be without (and no it’s not the primer although that’s famously good as well), is their Soft Lights, which imparts an all day glow to your face. Having tried quite a few similar products this is by far the best and well worth installing in your beauty collection as soon as possible.
Radiance boosters – highlighters – there are thousands on the market and most achieve something good. Sweep a little of Smashbox Soft Lights in Shimmer all over your face in the morning (particularly after the night before) and you’ll never want to be without it again. Mine is definitely going to Paris with me in ten days time. I’m sure I’ll be needing it……………..
There are other colours in the range, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for at Debenhams then mosey over to Just Beauty Direct, which stocks the collection plus some very good kits and palettes, hard to find beauty products and lots of special offers. Just be careful here, you may want to stay a while.
