As the sales heat up and the prices nosedive it’s easy to get carried away and buy something you can wear right now, without giving a thought to what’s coming around the corner, in terms of both season and trends.
We may have at least three months left of cooler climes (and maybe even a return to the freeze of last year) however that doesn’t change the fact that buying for today can be very short sighted when you can cleverly buy for both today and tomorrow.
The accessory on today’s hot list is designer scarves. Can you have too many? Probably not, they work at all times of year and with everything from weekend to work to dressed up glam. Right now is the time to invest in a designer scarf that you might not look at at the full price, but at 40%+ off is worth a splurge.
Look for safari/tribal, geometric, digital and baroque themes (although the latter are coming through right now in the new collections) and colours from tangerine, grape and fuchsia, blues from sodalite to pale turquoise and pastels in sorbet shades.
