The Curvy Girl’s Guide to What to Wear on Christmas Day

There's just a week to go, and if you haven't yet decided what to wear on Christmas day you'd better get to it right now, even if you're in the midst of Christmas preparations, cooking, shopping and feeding the kids just back from uni.

If you're lucky enough to be a curvy girl you'll probably be looking for something in jersey or a fine knit or crepe and a wrap, faux or otherwise will be the most flattering.  And sleeves are essential in December I think.  These dresses are sexy, they exude glamour, they’re wonderful with curves and they’re never too tight (essential on Christmas day).

Logically, the perfect dress is a sleeved figure hugging style dress, with a flattering neckline in a soft fabric that won’t crease no matter how long the day is and you can wear right on until you either fall asleep in it after lunch, or go on to cocktails at six and hover under the mistletoe if you feel that way.

I always think that deep rich colours and sleek prints look best around Christmas, or on Christmas Day itself, with the added sparkle of jewellery, and heels you can slip off and change into flats if you really have to don the Marigolds.  But of course, avoid that if you possibly can…………

On the subject of black - I love black, day or night, because you can glam it up as much as you want, and there is absolutely nothing as flattering as a perfect little black dress.
