What makes a tshirt perfect?
It has to fit just as you want it to – tight or slouchy
It has to wash like a dream and come out of the dryer ready to wear - ie not need ironing……
If plain it has to work with everything else you own
If print or detailed it has to stand out and work alone as a ‘hero’ piece but still be wearable underneath a cardi or jacket if it’s cool.
Most importantly, it has to keep its shape.
This is the year to wear colour and create a collection of interesting tshirts and tops that will take you anywhere, wearable with jeans, capri pants and shorts and also under essentials such as a cashmere cardi or simple jacket.
Finding a tshirt that can be described as perfect is a hard task. Fabrics need to stretch, fit and not lose shape, so a cotton or silk jersey mix or a high quality viscose jersey. Your cheap and cheerful basic cotton tshirt will frequently last no longer than one season, if that, as it may fade, lose shape and shrink and when you bring it out again for a brand new season just goes straight into the ‘out’ pile.
So the hunt is on, and these are some of the best. By the way I thought about only writing about white tshirts, however the photography of many ‘whites’ is incredibly insipid, and many of these come in white as well. Take your pick.

With red being one of the strongest colours of the season this has to be the all time watch favourite to wear to wear at the weekend or flash with a little black dress. Don’t you just love it? I certainly do. It also comes in black and white, purple, tangerine, green, blue and far too many other colours to mention here and this is one of the very best collections online.
