DKNY and the Perfect Summer Handbag

DKNY always has one of the best collections of spring/summer handbags - well made, in a range of styles (from clutch to shopper) and colours (whatever the seasons colours may be) to suit just about everyone.  And, best of all, none of them break the bank.

Like most ‘handbag collectors’ the minute the sun comes out and you can just sense that summer’s round the next corner - provided we haven’t already had it, that is - I look at my black/dark brown/purple beautiful but very autumn/winter bags and consign them to the back of the cupboard.  Which is where this excellent collection comes in.

The lovely thing about a great bag is that, investment piece or otherwise, it should last you for a very long time, going seamlessly from ‘now’ and ‘on trend’ to ‘vintage’ without a hitch.  The bad thing is that a handbag can cost a small fortune.  You just have to look at the Nancy Gonzalez or  Gucci collections at Net-a-Porter to realise that where bags are concerned, the sky really is the limit.

The hits of the season for DKNY have to be her rich red shopper, quilted tote and vintage style bowling bag plus the ivory mock croc print shoulder bag, python leather cross body bag and deep cobalt blue clutch.  And there are many more of course.

I’m not a huge supporter of bags covered in logos, but if you are, there’s a treasure trove of dark brown, black, tan and ivory trimmed clutches, shoppers and satchels to choose from.  And all, as I said, at a reasonable price.  So for your next handbag fix, have a look here first, you may be surprised at what you find………….
