Perilla has long been one of my favourite online stores, for all those things that take the cold out of winter from cashmere wraps, scarves and socks to clever items that are hard to find anywhere else such as cashmere fingerless gloves and arm warmers, let alone in this range of colours. They also specialise in alpaca clothing – so there are alpaca sweaters, cardigans and scarves and bed socks, which, according to Sandra Morton, founder and owner of Perilla, are just about their best selling item.
This is a website that you might have difficulty finding if you didn’t know it already but one to firmly bookmark as apart from being horrifically tempting (at least to someone like me) it’s also a great place for gifts for both the girls and for men. This is also a place where I have seen and felt just about everything, and although I’m not one of the ‘I have to see it, feel it, touch it’ brigade – how could I be? I’m basically your online shopaholic – I can tell you that everything here is beautiful quality, and that Sandra would see it off sharpish if it wasn’t.
There are several things on my gift list here…………….the cashmere fingerless gloves in purple, a cashmere stole in chocolate, an alpaca poncho in black, some cashmere bed socks (not being greed here) and a pair of her suede and knitted gloves in black because I just cannot keep track of mine from last year. Sandra will gift box everything for you having wrapped it in tissue first and then send with your personal message. Now you know why I love this site.
